| This
site contains information about The Armchair Magician magic kit. A magic
kit for parents, grandparents and children that are just beginning to learn
how to do magic tricks. Here is a list of the 10 tricks that are in this
kit - Rings thru Rope - Siberian Chain Escape - The Escaping Ring -
The Elusive Face Card - The Three Burglars - Visible Card Penetration - Chinese
Vase - Cups and Balls - Ball and Vase
There is an Instruction Book that explains
in detail how each trick is performed. Each set of directions has five
parts. The first part is what a spectator might say in describing the trick
to someone that hasn't seen it (Effect). Next is a brief statement revealing
the secret of the trick (Secret). These first two items are what you usually
get in the package directions. The next two (Presentation & Analysis
and Weak Points) are rather lengthy explanations of how the trick should
be performed, step by step, along with comments that make it clear WHY the
steps should be done in a certain way. I think of these two sections as being
the "benefit of experience" parts of the directions. The last section
(Key To Success) reemphasizes the way to perform the trick and how to handle
the "weak point", of which there is at least one in every trick ever devised.
It's usually this "weak point" in a trick and how well the magician hides
it, that determines success. |
